Brian Halligan, Dharmesh ShahCongratulations to HubSpot's own Dharmesh Shah, founder and Chief Technology Officer, who won and accepted a Mass Technology Leadership Award as Innovator of the Year at the MassTLC Awards Gala last night at the Boston Copley Marriott Hotel.

Also representing HubSpot's technology leadership was HubSpot CEO and Founder Brian Halligan, who was honored as a finalist in the CEO of the Year category.  When asked about Dharmesh's award win, Brian said, "He's the best co-founder on the planet and an absolute stud.  I'm thrilled for him!"

The 12th annual MassTLC Awards recognized the best and brightest technology innovators and leaders in the Bay State.  Awards were given to companies and individuals that have either developed or implemented innovative technology solutions, and recognition highlights recent and significant contributions to companies or the broader industry.

More than 160 high-quality nominations were generated this year. The Council's Board of Trustees reviewed the nominations and narrowed the field to 41 finalists, of which 10 winners were selected by a group of leaders and influencers in the Massachusetts technology community.

To support Dharmesh and Brian at last night's event, HubSpot sent a group of 10 attendees, who broke out in song to celebrate Dharmesh's birthday after he accepted his award.  Watch Dharmesh's acceptance speech below, and see if you can guess his alma mater ...
