In 2013, HubSpot opened its first international headquarters in Dublin with a small team and big plans to hire across the region to better serve our customers. As we celebrate HubSpot’s 10-year anniversary in Ireland, the team has grown to over 1,000 people, working across @home, @flex, @office work preferences and helping over 158,000 customers globally grow better.

“Initially establishing our EMEA headquarters in Ireland to better serve our global customer base and tap into a burgeoning pool of incredible tech talent, the success we've seen in the region has significantly exceeded our expectations," said Christian Kinnear, HubSpot's Chief Sales Officer and Managing Director of EMEA. "In the last decade, we've grown our talented team in Ireland who have built world-class products and delivered exceptional service to our customers. Beyond this customer impact, I'm incredibly proud that we've also committed to sustainable practices, given back to our communities, and cultivated an inclusive culture rooted in our values of HEART.”

Building a Company Future Generations Would be Proud Of

Since the beginning, HubSpot Ireland has been dedicated to building an inclusive environment where everyone, regardless of location, work preference, or background can do their best work. As such, HubSpot Ireland has been named a Best Workplace by Great Place To Work Ireland and recognised as a Best Workplace for Women.

Eimear Marrinan, Sr. Director of Culture, adds “Part of HubSpot’s success in Ireland has stemmed from building a strong local culture centered around our purpose of building a company that future generations would be proud of. That includes giving back to the local communities where we work and live, connecting employees through hybrid events like Bring Your Family to Work Day, and celebrating diverse perspectives through education, events, and employee resource groups.”

One of HubSpot’s long-standing partnerships is with A Playful City, a not-for-profit that helps create play spaces that children need to thrive. Commenting on HubSpot’s community engagement, A Playful City’s CEO Nessa Ní Bhroin said, “Through the support of HubSpot, A Playful City has been in a privileged position to further its vision to create more inclusive, accessible, and playful spaces, with and for communities. In particular, young people from all backgrounds in Dublin’s inner city, together with the wider community, have been consulted about designs and events they would like to see happen in their local area, and because of the generosity of HubSpot - their hopes, ideas, and aspirations have been brought to life through large scale events and installations.”

In 2020, to support HubSpot’s growth in Ireland, we opened our second office space in Dublin. HubSpot House, located in the heart of Dublin’s Docklands, delivers a sustainable office environment as a LEED platinum-certified building. In addition, HubSpot House harvests over 60,000 liters of rainwater each quarter to serve restroom facilities, hosts solar panels that produce 16,000 kWh annually, and nurtures a roof-top garden that purifies the air and creates a cooler and more pleasant climate.

Driving Product Innovation and Customer Growth with World-Class Teams

We believe that our best asset is our people. Over 10 years, we’ve hired incredible talent across the region, specifically engineers, product managers, designers, and leadership. They’ve built some of HubSpot’s core software, including our email tool, mobile applications, and the original customer service software, now Service Hub, making it easier for businesses to connect with and engage with their customers.

“We started using HubSpot four years ago to implement a new inbound marketing strategy. Since then, we've expanded our use of HubSpot to power all our digital marketing, sales processes, gift card orders, and our customer service,” said Gary Purcell, CEO of the local Irish company Allgo Rewards. “HubSpot basically now runs our entire business and has helped us grow by an average of 50% each year since we implemented it.”

Having a local team on the ground dedicated to supporting our customers’ growth has proven to be an important catalyst for the more than 30,000 Irish businesses that use HubSpot to scale. Purcell continues, “What we love most about HubSpot is its ease of use and its brilliant local support that allows us to constantly improve how we use the platform.”

Continuing to Advance Ireland’s Tech Ecosystem

As HubSpot has grown over the past decade, so has the broader Irish tech ecosystem, and we’re proud of our part in building a strong, sustainable tech hub.

“HubSpot has played an important role in the growth of Ireland’s tech industry over the years,” said Dónal Travers, Head of Technology, IDA Ireland. “The company's investment in research and development, as well as its commitment to community engagement, has helped to strengthen Dublin’s reputation as a centre of innovation in the tech sector. We are proud to have HubSpot as a valued member of the Irish tech ecosystem, and we look forward to our continued partnership."

We are grateful for the support of our Irish team, customers, and community over the past 10 years and know this is just the beginning for HubSpot Ireland. We're excited for what future milestones and accomplishments we'll achieve with our employees, customers, and partners across the region.

In celebration of HubSpot’s 10-year anniversary, the company is proud to continue its community support with a €10,000 donation to Junior Achievers Ireland. In addition, HubSpot will be giving away 10 annual CRM subscriptions free of charge to growing businesses in Ireland to support positive and scalable growth. Organisations are encouraged to submit their applications by 5pm GMT on Friday, 19th Feb 2023.
