HubSpot is continuing its shift from a suite of applications to a platform company, a shift we believe will help our customers grow better by enabling them to create a great customer experience for their customers. This week marks two milestones in the shift from suite to platform: a new collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and recognition as one of Zapier’s fastest-growing apps.

Earlier this week HubSpot announced a new collaboration with AWS. This agreement will leverage AWS services to expand HubSpot’s platform and provide added benefits to members of the Connect and HubSpot for Startups programs.“HubSpot has earned a reputation as a leading growth platform and for their standout CRM and marketing automation software for SMBs,” said Terry Wise, Global Vice President of Worldwide Channels and Alliances at Amazon Web Services.

Today, Zapier is naming HubSpot one of the top 10 fastest-growing apps in 2018. Zapier allows users to easily connect web apps with a few links and then pass information between those apps. While HubSpot currently has 152 certified apps in the Connect partner ecosystem (Zapier being one of them), we do not have certified integrations for all of the 6,829 marketing technology companies currently in the market. Zapier allows HubSpot customers to connect to many of these apps that don’t currently plug directly into the HubSpot platform, providing greater extensibility to our customers and, in turn, a better experience for their customers.

Today, there are more than 1,000 possible zaps that HubSpot customers can set up to automate their work. The most popular are:

  • Add new leads from Facebook Lead Ads to HubSpot. Facebook Lead Ads are an effective way to generate new leads from Facebook. However, continuing the conversation with those leads within Facebook isn’t easy -- you can’t send emails, make calls, schedule meetings, or anything else. This Zap brings the leads you generate in Facebook directly into HubSpot (note: HubSpot recently launched a native integration with Facebook Lead Ads that’s worth checking out, too).
  • Send new Google Contacts to HubSpot. Why update all your contact lists with the same information manually, running the risk of missing someone? With Zapier, you can configure Google Contacts to be sent to HubSpot automatically, helping you save time and avoid missing data.
  • Create or update HubSpot contacts from new MailChimp subscribers. Any time you get a new MailChimp subscriber, Zapier can automatically create a new contact or update an existing one in HubSpot.
