Today, HubSpot is proud to announce the promotions of two of its best and brightest leaders. Frank Auger, formerly the VP of Services, has been named to the role of Chief Information Officer. A HubSpotter since 2010, Frank was chosen after a 6-month search for the role that included external and internal candidates. HubSpot has been searching for a successor to CIO-of-the-Year Jim O’Neill ever since Jim became HubSpot’s Chief People Officer in April.

As CIO, Frank will drive the success of HubSpot’s Business Operations and IT teams globally. In his previous role as VP of Services, Frank managed HubSpot Academy, our support team, account management, and inbound marketing consulting. He also became intimately familiar with HubSpot’s systems and infrastructure, building upon his 20 years of experience in software company leadership. Most importantly, Frank set a new industry standard with our award-winning dedication to customer satisfaction.

“As one of our most successful leaders, we couldn’t ask for a better candidate for CIO than Frank,” said JD Sherman, HubSpot COO. “In his previous role as VP of Services, he proved his ability to solve for the customer in a big way, and we know he will continue to make HubSpot a leader in marketing and sales automation.”

“At HubSpot, we’ve always been a customer-centric company,” said Frank of his new role as CIO. “I’m thrilled to take on this new role to guide the company as it implements technology that helps us solve for our customers. ”

Prior to his role as HubSpot’s VP of Services, Frank served as Director of Customer Support, Account Management, Professional Services, among others. Before joining HubSpot, Frank was CEO of Metallect; a VP of product at Novell, and a VP of research and development at SilverStream.

Thanks to Frank’s well-groomed team, backfilling his position was an easy decision: we are happy to announce that Michael Redbord will take over as Vice President of Services and Support.

In this role, Mike will manage HubSpot’s global services and support teams. With the baton passed from Frank, Mike will continue to strengthen HubSpot’s commitment to providing an excellent experience for customers.

In his initial role as an Implementation Specialist 5 years ago, Mike built out the onboarding process and created what has since become the HubSpot Academy team. From there, he pioneered our services operations team to target and reduce customer churn. Finally, as Director of Customer Support, Mike expanded HubSpot’s incredible support organization, proving himself an easy successor to Frank as VP of Services and Support.
