Helen Russell
Chief People Officer
As chief people officer at HubSpot, Helen Russell has global responsibility for the company’s most important asset — its people. She leads recruiting; learning and talent management; total rewards; culture; environmental, social, and governance (ESG); diversity, inclusion, and belonging (DI&B); and people operations. Helen is passionate about nurturing a culture that accelerates business and employee growth. Seasoned in scaling organizations, she brings over 25 years of people leadership experience across multiple industries, geographies, and sizes of businesses.
Prior to joining HubSpot, Helen served as chief people officer of Rivian Inc., a key leader in the electric vehicle space. She also held chief human resource officer roles at Atlassian Inc., a leading B2B SaaS provider; Sonos Inc., a leader in the home audio space; and Kantar, one of the world's largest research, data, and insight consultancies. Helen began her career in HR at Siebel Systems before joining Yahoo! as VP of HR, EMEA.
She takes pride in helping others do the best work of their careers and is a dedicated mentor to emerging and executive leaders across the globe. Helen is often asked to speak on the business benefits of strong company culture. Helen holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Liverpool, England.
